1/30 Obama's Speech

     President Barack Obama used his State of the Union address Tuesday to ask the nation to meet the challenges of a global economy, framing what he called a competitiveness agenda that includes traditional Democratic proposals like increased education spending, alongside gestures to Republicans seeking deep budget cuts.

    

       I like his speech. It is powerful and persuasive.During his speech, the loud applause of the audience interrupt him many times. I know some Chinese students use Obama's speech to practice English. When I was in IEI classes, I use his video to learn body language. 

        Obama mentioned china four times in his speech. It is a signal to show that America and China have same important status in economic area of the world. It also shows America and China need to help each other to development. As a Chinese international student, I am happy to see it. I hope Unite States and China use collaborative development instead of mutual conflict.

1/29 A moving story

         A girl and a boy were on a motorcycle,speeding through the night.they loved each other a lot..

girl:“Slow down a little..I'm scared..”
boy:“no,it's so fun..”
girl:“please...it's so scary..”
boy:“then say that you love me..”
girl:“fine..i love you..can you slow down now?”
boy:“give me a big hug..”
the girl gave him a big hug.
girl:“now can you slow down?”
boy:“can you take off my helmet and put it on? it's uncomfortable and It's bothering me while i drive.”
       the next day,there was a story in the newspaper.a motorcycle had crashed into a building because its brakes were broken.there were two people on the motorcycle,of which one died,and the other had survived...

　　the guy knew that the brakes were broken.he didn't want to let the girl know,because he knew that the girl would have gotten scared.instead,he was told the last time that she loved him,got a hug from her,put his helmet on her so that she can live,and die himself...

      love gives us a fairytale...

First paper

     It is really painful when I write the first paper. I spent whole Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon in this paper. When I began with this paper I have no idea. I did survey and tried to find some ideas from the answers. Searching source, reading article...in fact, I really hate to do that... However, when I finish the beginning of the paper, I got the idea. I wrote down the outline... Finally, I hand in my first draft. I hope I do well at end. By the way, I like Maldives. I will go there in the future before she disappear.

library

       This is the second time I go to library directly after class and stay here over five hours this week. When I was in Chinese university, I had never been to library. I want to say learning environment is so important. Since I came to America, I began to make study schedule. I set a goal for my study. Not every Chinese kid could study abroad. However i have the chance. I need to cherish it . Now I am sophomore，I still need two to three years to finish my bachelor degree. Then I will study for master’s degree. It takes long time. I always tell myself "you can do that". I believe "where there is a will, there is a way." It is the first step that costs troublesome. However, just like writing research paper. After  finishing the outline and introduction, things may become easier.
  

Justice

      All men should be created equal. We may come from different states, but we should be able to study in the same school. We may have different skin color, but we should have the same basic kindliness of spirit. Justice should be fundamental for family and society. Parents need to be just to their kids. Managers need to be just to their staff. It is important to have justice in our society. Justice could solve our problems. We cannot judge things by wealth, race, religion, or power. If we do so, the world will be chaos. We should create differences between each other.When we meet unfair treatment, we need to know a counterattack. Let others know we are not an easy target. I remember when I was in middle school basketball team, our team challenged the Junior League defending champion. In the first half, the referee was partial to the defending champion. Our team was losing during the first half. We became impatient and disorganized. During the half time break, our coach told us to ignore the referee and to try the best we could. He said charge is the best way for impartial referee. In the second half, we released our restlessness and did the best we could. Although we lost the game, we proved ourselves. Once I read an article from a Chinese newspaper. The title is “A Farmer VS an Estate Agent”. The estate agent violated the farmer’s right. The farmer did not eat humble pie. He took the estate agent to court. He collected evidences. Although the estate agent had billion Yuan and high social status, the estate lost the case.  The farmer used his action to protect his right. His action also told us the best way to unfair treatment is counterattack. 

winter break

     My friends and I went to Florida to have a warm winter break. We have driven 18 hours to arrive Orlando. We went to Disney World and Universal Studios. Roller coaster and 4D movies really appealed to us. We had a good time in the warm and beautiful city.After 8 days in Orlando, we drove to Key West, which is the southernmost of States. It took 7 hours to drive from Orlando to Key West. At Key West, Ocean, Beach, sunshine and seafood, all of those things were waiting us. We spent 3 days at Key West. Then we came back. The crazy thing is we did not find a place to have a sleep. We drove back Muncie directly. This trip is crazy and memorable.
